OUR PROCESS

Brookway’s homey, rustic office offers a relaxed, casual experience that is conducive to normal conversation. Robert Pavlik and his cordial staff begin your consultation by learning about you and discussing your lifestyle and your specific hearing challenges and concerns.

SCREENING

Next, Robert Pavlik, BC-HIS, HAS, ACA, will do a screening to get a general idea about the type of hearing loss you are experiencing. He also will do an ear exam to determine whether you have a condition that would require a medical referral. Resolving that condition may resolve your hearing issue without the need for hearing aids.

STANDARDIZED TESTING

Hearing tests involve tone testing, bone conduction testing, speech testing and signal to noise ratio testing. Most importantly, you are tested to determine how well you understand speech in a noise-cluttered environment.

THE PERFECT FIT

An entry level hearing aid is little more than an amplifier that increase the volume of all the sounds in the room – including the background clutter. Brookway focuses on finding the exact device – and the proper noise settings – that work best for you.

MEET ROBERT PAVLIK,
BC-HIS, HAS, ACA

Owner and founder Robert Pavlik, BC-HIS, HAS, ACA, is an audioprosthologist and is nationally board certified in hearing instrument sciences. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Akron. He opened Brookway Hearing Center in 2008.
